Anne and Jean-Pol are in their fifties and have been offering their B&B to friends and travellers since 1997. They will receive you with much welcome and warmth; like friends from afar. In case your hosts are not at home on any given day during your stay one of their adult children will look after you. Anne and Jean-Pol only speak a little English. Their children are much more fluent.

Additional information 
Arrival and dropping off luggage are possible in the morning as long as you arrange a time with your host and you are on time. Otherwise you will be expected between 6 and 8pm. 

Your hosts do not wish to receive any pets. 

Jean-Pol is a smoker but never smokes in the guest room and always airs the entire house. 

The accommodation is not suitable for persons who suffer from allergies; pillows and blankets are filled with downs.

Parents have to bear responsibility for the access to the additional single bed (by ladder, loft style) as it can be a risk.

If you are a late riser in the mornings and search for absolute calmness this accommodation is not suitable for you as near the house is a school which is noisy during the playtimes of the day.

In general this accommodation is not suitable for people who are searching for the likes of a hotel service e. g. plush towels or mints on the pillows. It is a basic family home, nevertheless very comfortable accommodation in which you will be received like friends.

An iron and an ironing board will be at your disposal.

This renovated house was once an antique artist’s studio located in the famous 6th district close to Parc du Luxembourg, Montparnasse and Saint Germain des Prés. Your hosts Anne and Jean-Pol offer your own private suite over two levels; a private bed, living room, bathroom and private entry for your complete independence & privacy. A comfortable B&B; you will be welcomed like family.

The dwelling
Your hosts will welcome you to a real ‘family’ environment. Jean-Pol’s father spent his childhood in this house and during the thirties it became the artist’s studio of Jean-Pol's uncle – a well known sculptor who created the 4 big angels of the church ‘Eglise de Gentilly’ in the garden as well as sculptures at the entry. Furthermore, he has been the leader of the sculptor studio ‘Beaux-Arts’ of Paris. His wife has been an administrator of the drawings in the Louvre and a professor of the Louvre school: one of the first female administrators.

In the entire house there are no doors (except for your guest room). Your hosts believed doors would contradict the idea of open communication which is important for a whole family. 

Jean-Pol who works as an architect has completely re-arranged the studio to create a house for his family in the middle of the heart of Paris. A dream of his was to create the very special mood you will find lingering in this house. There are rooms on the 3 floors combined with big central stairs, brightly illuminated with 3 huge windows.
The bathroom Bathroom use is only for the guests. It is equipped with a wash basin, a bath tub with shower and a hair dryer. The toilets are separate and also for guests private use.
Breakfast Breakfast will be served in the kitchen or on nice days in the green courtyard; a rare luxury in Paris. 

Breakfast is always composed of hot drinks, orange juice, baguettes, bread or toast, butter and different sorts of jam. Do not hesitate to ask for fresh croissants.

Your bedroom The guest room spreads over 2 floors. On the first floor you will find the living room and on the second you will find the bedroom. You can go into the bedroom by a ladder or by exterior stairs in the corridor. 

You can open the windows of the bedroom onto a lovely backyard. You can enter the backyard by a separate entry also.

Your room is equipped with a double bed (140x190) which consists of two mattresses and two simple eiderdowns. It can be used by 2 persons who wish for 2 independent single beds.

An additional single bed (located loft style) (80x190 cm) can also be offered to a child (no more than 10 years) or an adult who is very agile and does not mind the smaller space (height of the bed: 1.30 m).

In all rooms of this artists studio/renovated house you will find antique works of art which were created by Jean-Pol's uncle or other family members. They give the accommodation a typical Parisian touch. If you are interested Jean-Pol will happily guide you through his house. This house stands amongst a green private court yard. In this Parisian garden with many flowers and a table and chairs for relaxing you will find yourself lost in inspired thought. 
There is a neighbouring school so there is noise during the day, at playtimes.
