Christiane is in her fifties and she lives with her daughter. A fine arts painter of german origin, she has been living in Paris since the birth of her daughter in 1991. She loves Paris and will be able to give you some great advice during your stay. Christiane speaks French, German her mother language, and English.

Additional information 
Luggage may be dropped in the morning. Check-in is possible in the morning if there are no departing guests. Christiane is artist and likes to continually redecoration and rearrange the position of the furnitures that are in the guest Studio-room. We often do routine visits to the b&b but often cannot keep up, so do not be surprised if on arrival it does not look exactly as these pictures. Furniture will always be the same but there may be colour theme changes or location changes. Either way it is always tasteful and charming. Christiane is a non-smoker and wishes to receive only non-smoking guests. Or you may only smoke in the courtyard. There are no pets in this apartment, and the hostess does not wish to receive pets in the guest studio. There are no feathers in the bedding but if you suffer from severe allergies this studio may not be right for you, as there are many cushions, draperies and fabrics. Morning light enters the guest studio-room through the french window. Christiane has added many decorative lamps for evening. Upon request an iron and ironing board can be provided. No internet access is possible at Christiane's but she will happily recommend a cyber-cafe nearby.
 Additional Services Should you be interested, Christiane will show you her painter's ‘atelier’ studio; Please feel free to ask her as like most artists she is timid person and will never suggest this if you do not ask her.
Apartment #253 Arrondissement: 11 ème Just a few steps away from the bustling district of Bastille & Oberkampf, Christiane’s apartment is on the ground floor of an art-deco style building built in 1930. The accommodation offered by Christiane, a fine arts painter, boasts a private entry, private bath and a small kitchenette for guests complete independence. Perfect for visitors who are looking for a quiet and independent place close to the bohemian Bastille area and nightlife. Breakfast is provided (except fresh bread and croissants) but is not served by your hostess.

The dwelling
Very close to the central and fashionable district of Bastille, to the world-renowned Marais and place of Vosges, and Oberkampf with it's restaurants, shops and galleries, this bed and breakfast is ideally located for those who wish to visit the true Paris on foot. Christiane's apartment is in a 1930 art-deco building, and is very quiet as it opens into a calm courtyard. The small studio-room has an independent entrance, providing perfect privacy if guests want it, giving guests the freedom to talk with their hostess when they wish.
The bathroom Located in the guest studio-room. It's use is private for the guest and it offers a washbasin, a shower and toilets, bathroom items and hand towels and a hairdryer at your disposal.
Breakfast Breakfast will not be served by Christiane, but all the necessary ingredients will be left at your disposal in the bedroom. In the small refrigerator, you will find butter, jam, orange juice, milk, and on a shelf: coffee, tea, sugar, honey and sliced bread ready to be toasted. You will also find at your disposal: a toaster, an electric coffee machine, a cooker and a small oven. Christiane wishes to point out that you will have to buy fresh bread and croissants at the bakery by yourself just like the parisians do every morning. Your host asks if you could ensure dishes are washed.

Your bedroom You will sleep well at Christiane's as your studio-room is very quiet. Its french window opens on to the courtyard. Christine has decorated the courtyard with a lot of greenery for your enjoyment. This french window is your private entry into the guest studio-room and it will allow you to come and go in total independence. You will have your own set of keys. The Studio-room is large (17m2) and offers a double bed (140x190), a closet, a large round table, three chairs, a television, a radio, an alarm clock, documentation and tourist guides and art books on Paris.
The guest Studio-room is located on the bottom floor, so even during a heat wave it stays pleasant and cool inside. Christiane does not provide a fan as it has never been necessary, but will happily buy one if you feel the need.
For your comfort, pleasure and independence, a tea set with tea, herbal tea and coffee, a plate with wine and glasses are at your disposal. Upon request Christiane can also provide plates, knives, forks and spoons etc. Entirely renovated in 2010, the guest studio-room is like an artist's pallet, strewn with colour. Its was repainted in 2004, it's white walls emphasising the multicoloured oil canvases created by Christiane
Cushions, draperies and colourful fabrics cover the bed, the round table and the chairs, nicely complement Christiane's paintings.
