Genevieve and Jean-Claude are in their 60s. Jean-Claude is supposed to be retired, but he enjoys being a broker and keeps on working. He speaks French, English and Spanish and knows some basic German.

He met Genevieve In Vietnam. Vietnam was a French colony during Genevieve’s childhood and she followed a French education so unfortunately she does not speak any Asian languages. She speaks a little English. 

Genevieve is a lover of paintings and art, particularly modern art. She is able to give you sound advice on your cultural visits. She is very active in cultural associations in the Marais district and you will be able to discuss many subjects with her from French literature to Asian tradition. If you have time, you can ask her to tell you about her great grand mother and how she spent her life in the court of the Chinese emperor.
 
Very obliging, she will be pleased to reserve, shows, restaurants and taxis for you.

About your host

The dwelling
Located on the first floor (without elevator) of a private mansion constructed at the end of the 17th century, the residence of your host is historical. It’s very bright and sunny with an L-shaped design and a vast, green terrace of more than 100 m2 thats wraps around. You are free to use the terrace as you please. One entry serves the two arms of the residence: the private part which is for your hosts and the suite that they offer you, their guests. Upon request, at the time of your arrival, you can also obtain the keys of a second entry door if you wish to have private entry.

Calm for central Paris, it is exceptional. You will be the only paying guest and cherished like a precious customer in this very independent peaceful suite thanks to the private entry.

In the heart of the Marais, a few steps from the Picasso museum or the Archives Nationales, the B&B offered by your host is worthy of a four-star hotel rating.
Bedroom No.2768
You will rest perfectly in this room’s comfortable soft bed (feather or anti-allergy pillows on request). On offer are twins beds (80 cm X 200 cm) that can be placed side by side to make a double queen-size bed (160X 200). 

Lounge
Your lounge area has 3 comfortable sofas and a coffee table. An office area with a beautiful glass desk and free wifi access. 

Available  is a flat screen LCD television offering all the foreign channels, a DVD and VCR player, a refrigerator with a mini bar, a hot drinks set (coffee, tea, herb tea) and mineral water as well as documentation on Paris, art books and a ventilator. 

Bathroom
A full, en-suite bathroom is available for the private use of guests. It is equipped with a toilet, a wash-hand basin, a shower equipped with a tiled bench where you can sit. 

Bathroom products and a hairdryer are at your disposal. 

If your stay is more than 2 nights, a bathrobe is available upon request.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served by Genevieve in the dining room, or if sunny and warm on the terrace. You will be offered quality, fresh traditional baguette and fresh croissants.

Your hostess will always offer you coffee, tea, hot milk, chocolate, fruit juice, cereals, fresh fruits, yoghourts, butter, jam, hard-boiled eggs, a mini soft cheese platter and ham.

Dropping off luggage is possible any time of the day, if you reconfirm your exact arrival time with your hosts.

Your hostess is a non-smoker and wish to receive only non-smoking guests. 

Your hostess does not wish to accommodate children under 12 years. 

Your hostess does not own any animals and does not wish to receive any. 

Please do not choose this B&B if you suffer from any allergies as there may be dust due to the large rugs and carpets that adorn the large walls. The apartment also has 2 Persian rugs on the wooden floor.

When Genevieve is home you may use her phone to receive calls or to make calls using a pre-paid card. 

In the suite, you will have wifi Internet connection. If you do not bring your own laptop, your hostess will let you use her own computer for free for 30 minutes per day when she is home. 

An iron and an ironing board are at your disposal upon request. 

If you request a double bed presentation, you may ask Genevieve for double feather bedding (Mediterranean style) or two single feather beddings (Scandinavian style). 

Additional services
For an additional cost, hostess may supply a champagne bottle. 

On request, a parking space may be available for 30 euros per day (please request the garage before your arrival).
The refined atmosphere of this vast private room (53m2), its independence, its height under a ceiling of 4 m, its 4 windows (whose doors open onto the terrace of which you have totally free access) and its artistic and varied decoration will delight you. 

In particular, you will be able to admire the mosaics created by your hosts’ daughter.
