Clara, your hostess, is an interior designer, an event producer and a woman of society. Cosmopolitan and chic, she has travelled the world extensively through the fashion and music industry. She is fluent in French, English, Italian, Spanish and speaks some German. Parisian at heart, Clara will gladly recommend delicious restaurants and lovely boutiques close by in this trendy neighbourhood. As you arrive, Clara shall greet you with a bottle of champagne. Thoughtful, creative and an accomplished hostess, Clara knows how to make guests feel comfortable as privileged guests in this private mansion which has welcomed many personalities and celebrities.

The dwelling
Located in a small private lane of the 9th district, right down in the ‘Butte Montmartre’ this exceptional 1850’s mansion is one of the gems of this neighbourhood called the ‘Nouvelle Athènes’. At the end of last century, new aristocrats and rich artists built their residences and studios here with an architectural extravagance remotely inspired from ancient Greece. Today, designers, actors and writers mix with international bankers, famous lawyers and art dealers who discovered this very peaceful, yet extremely lively area in the centre of Paris, conveniently located near métro station Saint Georges and many buses.
A pretty wooden staircase leads to the kitchen and dining room, under a superb veranda where fresh croissants and baguettes will be served for breakfast. The room opens onto a terrace planted with roses and lavenders, where you may relax. Each season the entire house is extensively decorated. The rare atmosphere, great comfort, eclectic and refined decoration together with the spectacular architecture make this historical land-mark one of the most charming, original and romantic places of the French capital, often featured in magazines and films.
In the heart of this very privileged village, near Drouot’s auction house, lots of markets, department stores, theatres and restaurants hides VILLA CLARA, in great quietness behind a tall wrought iron gate opening onto a lovely paved planted courtyard that you must cross to enter the house.
The Master suite No.279 
Your spacious suite (100 sq. meters) stands on the top floor (second french floor). You will enter the suite through the extraordinary private living room under a high painted coffered ceiling and a large skylight. 

Ornate by a monumental renaissance chimney, the room is lovingly decorated with a mix of contemporary style and antiques, designer couches and family furniture, objects found around the world for two generations and art pieces autographed to the lady of the house. En suite, the master bedroom in rotunda, features a large king-size bed under a coupola of orientalist inspiration, worthy of Arabian Nights. 

You will spend dreamy nights in this comfortable alcove ornate by many refined cushions and pillows, as the private lane on which this dwelling is situated is very quiet.
The Adjoining Bath-Lounge
Breakfast Breakfast will await you in the dining room any time you wish. You will appreciate the quality, quantity and variety of fresh products including the traditional French baguette, and crusty homemade croissants. You shall also be offered coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate, fruit juice, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, cheese, ham and hard-boiled eggs. You may enjoy breakfast in your suite, or on the terrace by taking it along with you.

Additional information Two nights minimum stay. However it is possible to stay less than 2 nights for an extra cost. You can drop off your luggage early in the morning if you give a precise hour of arrival and respect it. Your room will be available at 12 :30pm unless another visitor is leaving the same day in which case you shall take possession of it at 5pm. If you wish to secure access to your room as soon as you arrive, we can reserve it for you at half-price unless it is already booked. An occasional smoker, Clara will not smoke in the presence of guests who are non-smokers and request no smoking. Your hostess does not have any pets, and does not wish to accommodate them. If you suffer from allergies, this house is not for you because of the numerous carpets, pillows and cushions. The suite is lightly tidied daily and linens are changed every four days. Additional services In addition, Villa Clara also offers you delicious candlelit dinners for birthdays, wedding proposals and anniversaries, engagement weekends, wedding nights, cocktails, cooking lessons, guided tours, local shopping tips, babysitting, the supply of baby beds, manual or machine massages, laundry and ironing services (price on request) and free Internet access, also on request.

The adjoining bath lounge is a Victorian dressing-room of 35 sq. meters, with a very large bathtub in its centre, a romantic dressing table, a double old style sink, Napoleon III armchairs and among others, a sideboard table with a kettle, proposing a wide assortment of teas and coffees. The mirrored bath lounge, also features a shower hidden in it’s gothic tower and opens onto a sunny planted balcony where you may enjoy an early cup of coffee or tea. Toiletries, bathrobes and a hair dryer are at your disposal. These are in an independent room, within the bath-lounge room.
