You will also find souvenirs from the family and antics from the 19th century and beginning of the 20th. Your bedroom
The guest room is small, 11 m2, but do not forget that you have permanent full access to the rest of the apartment, especially to the large living room of 45 m2.

It is very quiet as its window open on a terrace full of flowers, oriented on an inner yard.

It offers a double bed 140cm x 190cm, a wardrobe, a chest with four drawers, a little ancient desk made of a beautiful wooden marquetry of lemon tree.
History of the building
Anne’s grand-father bought the building in 1929, and his family still owns a part of it. This Haussmann style building located in the Latin Quarter was built in 1870, but its foundations are gallo-roman,

The Latin Quarter being the first gallic place in Paris, before the Romans created the streets, this area will always be dedicated to students from the beginning of the middle ages, as there is still an atmosphere of culture and study, with prestigious schools and universities in the area (which welcomed famous people such as Sartre, Maupassant, Bergson, Musset, Balzac, Simone de Beauvoir).

Now, tourists, students, inhabitants of the area, the numerous restaurants and shops create a very lively atmosphere during the day as well as at night.
Your hosts office
Anne comes to work in this room in the morning, crossing the living room discretely and staying in her office, she will not awake guests who would like to sleep late.
The kitchen
The kitchen is for your only use. Anne and her family use the one in their own apartment facing yours. Your kitchen is equipped with a sink, a cooker, a refrigerator, a micro wave oven, a toaster, a juice maker, a coffee machine, the necessary kitchenware to be able to do a little cooking and a high table and two tools.
The B&B offered by Anne and Jean-Luc is full of serenity. In the past, it was the office of a lady doctor who worked there until she was over 90 years old. It has been renovated but respectfully kept the original decoration, with its chimneys, wooden floor and carvings.

Souvenirs of the past still remain in this house; portraits of Anne’s grand-parents welcome you in the hall and some of the old toys belonging to Anne’s mother take you back to the 1920’s.

Living room
The living room is large and bright. Its walls are white and the ground is covered with oak wooden floorboards. On one side, there is a beautiful marble chimney surmounted by a large mirror which gives the room a warm atmosphere. On the other side, there is a Dutch chimney which brings back the charm of the past.

Decoration is in white and light brown; completely ‘zen’. You will relax peacefully in the evening on the large and comfortable sofas with lots of soft pillows.

This living room is used, from time to time, as a place of study for the children, for their music lessons on the piano (very quietly and never early in the morning), and their school work at the end of the afternoon until 7.00 pm at the latest.
It is a nicely decorated cocoon which is allergy-free. The carpets can be removed upon request; the pillows with feathers can be replaced, the ground is not carpeted, and there are no animals.
Jean-Luc spent his childhood in Africa (Senegal, Centre Africa, Ivory Coast), which resulted in his love of travel, which he shares with Anne. Together, they have visited more than thirty countries in all the continents. It is their love for travelling that gave them the idea to receive guests in a B&B in their home.

Anne speaks fluent English (her sister and nephews live in England) and she knows a little Spanish as well. Jean-Luc is less fluent in English but he always makes himself understood as he likes to communicate and loves to speak with his guests.
