She is interested in all cultural subjects but her first passion is the history of the Gasgon and Bearn areas, she is devoted to maintaining the Gascon language that she teaches.

Her second love is for Paris: the history of Paris and of the area where she lives, as she is a ‘citizen’ involved in the life of the area. She loves to meet people and has decided to offer her guest room as a B&B to offer guests the chance to discover her city with Parisian eyes.

The dwelling
This bed and breakfast is located in a historical building built in 1830. It is a very beautiful Haussmann style stone building where each apartment has beautiful oak wooden floors and marble chimneys. Its additional architectural interest is its inner entry under the porch, which was formerly a lane and was closed at the beginning of the century to form a very calm inner yard. As with many Parisian buildings, it belonged to only one owner and was transformed into a joint ownership about fifty years ago.

Anne's apartment was entirely renovated in 2006. It is located on the fourth floor without elevator, but Anne offers to help you carry your bags upstairs if you need her assistance.
The bathroom
There is only one bathroom in this b&b. You will have to share it with your host who will clean it every day. Anne also specifies that she will always give you priority use.
Breakfast
Anne offers breakfast in the dining room, close to the window with a view over the greenery, on a round table covered with a table cloth made of white lace and embroidery, which gives an atmospheric country style.

Breakfast consists of warm drinks (coffee, tea, milk and chocolate), orange and lemon juice, fresh baguette and croissants, butter, several jams, cereals and home made yogurts.

Without any additional cost, Anne can also offer cheese, ham and boiled eggs.

Your bedroom
Anne offers a refined guest room; a very romantic room with a bed with a baldachin made of an organdie veil, a carved bed-head and beautiful white lace. It is 15 square meters wide.
It is 82 m2 and is composed of two bedrooms, one of which is the guest room, a bathroom and independent toilets, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen; all of which are at your disposal if you want to relax, borrow some books in the library, warm a light meal or watch the television with your host.
The apartment is full of light. Your host wanted to recreate the country feel her native area, the Ossau Valley in the heart of the Pyrenees, with a view over the trees and much freshness in the decor selections. Very beautiful old varnished wooden floors and a fireplace, enjoyable in winter, give added romance and warmth to this charming b&b.
About your hosts area
Anne selected the 20th district of Paris, because she absolutely wanted to live on ‘Rue des Pyrénées’ where she finally found the apartment of her dreams twenty years ago. It is in the heart of the Belleville area that she will receive you. In the past, Belleville was a very nice little town close to Paris, from where its name comes from ‘Belle Ville’ (which means ‘Beautiful City’) with its charming Jourdain Square and its Roman church. Nowadays, the area is very pleasant and has kept its ‘village’ look.

Living here, you will have the feeling of being in a little country town rather than in bustling Paris. This area is full of charm, at the same time it is very trendy and has kept all its traditions. Thus, while remaining a very cosmopolitan and popular district, its inhabitants are more and more ‘boho’, dynamic and modern young executives. There are lots of shops and restaurants (French and others), cosy or smart like ‘le Baratin’: a very good restaurant highly recommended by your host.
As she teaches English, she speaks fluent English, as well as Spanish (being born 30 kilometres from the border of Spain and returns to Spain very often).

Anne loves her area and will be happy to give you detailed information about the city.
As far as tourism is concerned, your bed & breakfast is five minutes walk from the Belleville Park which has a beautiful view of Paris, or the magnificent Buttes Chaumont Park created at the time of Napoleon III. It is also very close to the famous Pere Lachaise Cemetery. The district is very well connected to the public transportation network and you will easily reach all the other places of interests in the city. For example, bus number 26 is direct for Opera Square. It will drive to to the Pere Lachaise Cemetery within five minutes. Through the subway station ‘Pyrénées’ in front of your building, you will reach the very central Chatelet station in less than ten minutes.
Beautiful pieces of furniture (wardrobe, chest of drawers, library, old desk, two armchairs), mixed styles of English and Pyrenees decorate the bedroom, as well as authentic prints from the 19th century, painted in the Ossau Valley, the country of origin of your host. Your host also has at your disposal some documentation on Paris as well as a kettle for you to prepare warm drinks.
The bed is a queen size double, completely new (180 x 190) prepared with beautiful bed linen.

You will appreciate the calm and serenity of your nights as the two windows of your bedroom open onto a quiet inner yard.
The bathroom is 6 square meters wide and has a window, which is rare in Paris. It is equipped with a wash basin, a bath with a shower, a hair-dryer and a towel-dryer.

At your disposal: towels and bath products, among which new soap, are at your disposal. For your comfort, she also puts dressing gowns at your disposal.
The toilets, also to be shared with your host, are located outside of the bathroom.
