Additional information

The arrival or deposit of your bags is possible at any time of the day if you let your hosts know about your arrival time and respect it. The access to the accommodation is immediate if there is no departure of other guests on the same day, otherwise you will have access in the afternoon, after it has been prepared for you.

In order to organise your arrival, your host asks you to let him know, as soon as you make your booking confirmation, your place of arrival in Paris and time of arrival, as well as the number of your flight and/or train. When you are in Paris, you will have to contact him so that he can meet you in front of the building.

If you do not travel with a cell phone, it is possible for you to call from a public telephone, either with your credit card (visa for example) or with a prepaid telephone card valid for France. Warning: the telephone call is absolutely necessary in order to organise your arrival in the best way.

According to the size of this accommodation, it is not suitable for people who travel with big suitcases, which could take too much space in the room. A small bag from the plane cabin style, would be better and could be easily put under the sofa.

Due to the size of the bed, this accommodation is mainly recommended for one adult, or an adult with a child who are happy to share. Beyond that, we cannot ensure you that you will sleep there comfortably.

Your hosts do not smoke and want to receive only non smoking guests.

Your hosts do not have any pets, but if you travel with a small animal (less than 8 kilos) and if he is never left alone in the accommodation, your hosts accept to have him at home for free (with a deposit).

The apartment is WiFi equipped. With your laptop you can get connected to Internet. It is also equipped with a telephone which will allow you to receive calls, and give local calls for free. If you want to use it for other calls, you will have to pay the amount of your calls at cost price to your hosts before leaving.

Your studio apartment
The building where you will live is of great standard and with a very Parisian style. It was built in 1905. One of the descendants of the architect, his great grandson, still live there.

Your hosts put at your disposal a small bedroom of 12 square meters with much comfort.

More than a studio bedroom, this home could be called a a luxury bachelor pad that Vladimir, with his knowledge of architecture and Tania with her skill on decoration, arranged with rationality, ingeniousness and taste for the greatest comfort of their visitors despite the small space.

It is located on the seventh and last floor (with elevator). Two large round attic windows offer a very beautiful view on a large part of Paris, from the Sacré Coeur to Montparnasse Tower, as well as on the the very smart esplanade covered with grass of the Avenue of Breteuil, where it is pleasant to walk.

Sleeping space
The sofa can be transformed into a double bed which is a little narrow but very comfortable (125 cm x 220cm).

Your hosts will leave at your disposal the bed linen, pillows and quilt, but you will have to make your own bed because the room will be presented as a living room with a sofa on your arrival.
Breakfast will not be served, but all the main ingredients: coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, orange juice, jams, butter, bread to be toasted, will be left at your disposal.

Only the fresh croissants and baguette are what you will need to buy at the baker.

Vladimir and Tania will explain how to use the kitchen to prepare breakfasts for yourself.

They will give you information on the area and will show you where the baker is, so that you can go there and buy baguette and croissants like real Parisians. You will love "Le boulanger des Invalides": Jocteur is one of the most famous in Paris.
There is no more elegant, more artfully arranged spot in Paris than the little cocoon, Vladimir and Tanja are offering you, both architects and stylists. Just steps away from ’les Invalides’, the museum ’Musée Rodin’ and the ’Quartier latin’ and situated in a very glamorous area, you will enjoy living in the heart of the 7th district on the top floor (with elevator) of a luxurious building, which offers you a great view over Paris.
Your hosts are in their forties. Vladimir was born in New York (USA) but his origins are from Serbia and he is of French nationality as well as his wife Tania. They often go to Serbia for holidays, mainly in Belgrade where most members of their families live.

Vladimir works as an architect in a firm located in the Latin Quarter and Tania is a stylist-designer for fashion accessories.

In 2008, your hosts bought this little apartment located in a very prestigious area, where they would have dreamt to live with their family, if they could have afforded to buy a larger apartment (they have two children, born in 2000).
As they love cultural exchanges, the idea of receiving tourists come naturally to them.
The shower room
A small Italian style shower room of 2 square meters wide.

It is equipped with a shower with a siphon on the ground (which can astonish the people who have never seen this kind of equipment but which makes the shower very pleasant), a small wash-basin and toilets.

The walls are covered with onyx and the ground with marble.

The daylight streams in, thanks to the window without opposite building, which is rare in Paris.
So while they do not live in this area, they will be available on the day of your arrival to talk with you about the area and give you as much advice as they can about Paris. Of course, you will have their telephone numbers, at home and cell phones, and you will always be able to contact them when you want.

Vladimir and Tania speak very good English and Serb. Vladimir lived for a few years in England before coming to Paris, more than twenty years ago.
The atmosphere is like a cabin of a liner, or moreover an airplane cabin thanks to its round windows with the Paris Sky as your view.

The furniture is modern with some classic pieces, such as the chandeliers made of crystal and the paintings on the walls.

On your left when you enter, you will find the convertible sofa, a little table and two high chairs for your meals, as well as a small kitchen. On you right, there are a small shelf with a telephone, the flat screen television on the wall, and a cupboard with the bath products and bath towels.

Facing you is the shower room with toilets. The ground is covered with very beautiful old tiles.

View from the Studio

The Kitchenette
The small kitchen facing the window with a large view, is equipped with a granite tabletop, heating plates and a sink. Below are the refrigerator, microwaves and cupboards with all the necessary kitchen ware (dishes, pans, cutlery).

Your hosts will leave some basic food for you, like salt, pepper, spices, vinegar, oil, pastas, rice.
Technology
As far as technology, pratical use, friendliness are concerned:

Your will have at your disposal a flat screen television (mainly French channels), a WiFi connection, a telephone that you can use for free to call numbers in Paris and France (Warning: other destinations are not free and must be paid before leaving the accommodation).

A hair-dryer, an iron and ironing-table, a fan are also at your disposal.

Your hosts will thoughtfully drop off a bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine throughout your stay to remind you of their attention to you.
A special message from Petite Paris
This accommodation is very small, at least 12 square meters including the shower room. Because of this, together with the size of the bed (that we would describe as more like a large single bed rather than a small double bed), we would not normally inspect this apartment. But as Vladimir is a good friend of another one of our Hosts who sung this cocoon high praises, we decided to inspect and to our great surprise we were delighted with it. But we must stress that it is small. The bed doesn’t meet the standard for a couple, except perhaps for those who can sleep tight and close. Despite the size Vladimir knew how to use all his talents as an architect so that you feel immediately at ease in this place and we were pleased to discover we felt at home inside, protected from all the outside glances, as in a bird's nest observing the life of the city below.
