Your hosts apartment
Your host's apartment is located in a mansion which was built at the end of the 19th century. The building is located in an area where the historical monuments are protected and its front is typically Parisian.

The building was renovated in 1981 and the apartment was re-designed in 2009.

The very brightly lit apartment is located on the fifth floor (with elevator). It is wide and offers a harmonious and relaxing feel with it’s light and tasteful decoration. Its furniture made of brown wengé wood have been created by Jean-Daniel Pilon (designer in Montréal) after Chantal created a little drawing to show him what she envisaged. In the living room, on the table, there is a beautiful lamp with short words of love in different languages, which has been made by another designer, Ingo Maurer.

The bedroom is equipped with a large double queen size bed (160cm x 200cm) with a firm and comfortable Bultex mattress. The bed is prepared with a quilt and pillows without feathers.

Breakfast is served between 7.30 am and 10.30 am in the dining room.
According to your wishes, you can have it alone in the dining room, in complete independence, or with your hosts.

It is typically Parisian and made of a hot drink (coffee, tea, warm milk or chocolate), a large glass of fruit juice, a yogurt, cereals, fresh croissants as well as the famous Parisian baguette, butter, honey or jam.

A basket full of fruits will also be at your disposal all day.

Your hosts, Chantal and Joe have been living in Paris for more than 20 years.

Chantal is a very pleasant hostess, very lively and creative. She loves to entertain and prepare refined dinners, communicating with people and going to the movies. She also has a passion for fashion and decoration; (she worked with in the fashion field before joining the marketing team of an international company). She is a harmonious, open-minded and honest lady..

Joe has a degree as a chemical engineer, but he has mainly worked in the finance field. He loves sports, walks in Paris and bicycle strolls. Joe is calm and quiet and likes to read and go to the theatre.

Both of them know Paris well, as well as their district where they have been living for more than 20 years. They love to discover at any time a new street, a new covered gallery, a pleasant bar, a shop, a book shop.
But over all, they are very interested in the people they meet: the tourists who ask them for directions, the business men who are in a hurry on their way to La Défense, the Parisians buy their baguettes.

Chantal and Joe have two sons, one born in 1987, still lives in their home. You can also have the opportunity of meeting their other son, born in 1985, who visits his parents often.
Your bathroom & toilets
The bathroom is "en suite" with the bedroom and it is for your personal use only.

It is 7 square metres and it is well lit thanks to a small window - something which is rare in Paris.

It is equipped with a bath with a shower, a wash-basin with a square mirror, a cupboard with a mirror inside, a heating system for towels and two stools.

The toilets are private and they are found in the bathroom.
Chantal and Joe love to travel and love to immerse themselves in different culture and meeting different people. They have travelled to Japan, Malaysia, Silk Tour, China, Yunnan for a treck "Yunnan by foot", Sri Lanka, India, the Reunion Island, Mauritius, Cuba, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Unites States, Canada, Peru, Argentina and of course most of the European capitals.

Chantal loves Asia for the kindness Asian people, their philosophy of life and the multi-generation families living all together.

Chantal and Joe always stay at Bed & Breakfasts and their great experiences encouraged them to open this guest room in their home to receive tourists from all over the world.

They speak very good English and German and Spanish well enough. Chantal understands a little Italian and knows some basic words in Russian.
Very close is the magnificent Opera created by Garnier, Madeleine Square for its church and delicatessen such as Fauchon, Hediard, the Ladurée macaroons, Rue Cambon where the Chanel store is located and Pierre Herme's macaroons, the crystal store of Bacarrat, Rue Vignon where you will find the truffle shop, Concorde Square with the obelisk, Hotel Crillon, Vendome Square with the famous jewel stores, the Ritz Hotel and of course the Champs-Elysées.
You can go to the famous Louvre Museum and d'Orsay Museum. You can easily join (by direct bus or subway lines) Montmartre,  Saint-Germain, Saint-Michel, the Marais Area, Beaubourg, the Halles and the Tour Eiffel.

You will find seven museums and ten theatres in a walking distance of only 2 to 15 minutes.

For your evenings, you will have the choice for making reservations at the Olympia Music Hall and theatres of Mogador, Comédie Caumartin, Madeleine, Daunou, Edouard VII, Mathurins, Michodière, Bouffs-Parisiens, Comédie Française and more.

Throughout the numerous windows of the apartment, you can see the rooftops of Paris.

The guest room is just at the entry of the apartment. It is separated from the private part of your hosts by a large space of 40 m2 including the dining room, living room and an open kitchen. Though in addition to the guest room, you can stay and relax in the beautiful living room as much as you wish.
Your hosts’ paid special attention to their apartment to be able to offer to you this healthy and natural environment. In order to minimise the risks of allergies they have used wooden floor, furniture made of wood, wicker or bamboos, linen made of natural fibres (or dominant cotton), pillows and quilts without feathers.

Everything has been studied in this "suite" to bring you the comfort you expect.
Cleaning is carried out every day in the apartment and Guest bedroom.

Bath towels are changed when you wish. You are kindly asked to let Chantal know at breakfast when you want them to be changed.
The bathroom is decorated in bright green and white to give you energy to begin your day.

The stools are made of egg packings and they are "home made", inspired by a picture seen in a decoration magazine, as well as the section below the wash-basin which is made of bamboos which Chantal cut in a friend's garden.

A hair-dryer and bath products (soap, shampoo, body milk) are at your disposal, as well as slippers and dressing gowns.
Additional services

Your hosts can prepare a cheese plater (please enquire with your host about the price which is according to the types and quantity. At least 48 hours advance notice is necessary).
